Create a lasting legacy for children and families in Guatemala
Create a lasting legacy for children and families in Guatemala
There are many ways to support Nueva Vida beyond a traditional one-time donation.
Planned giving allows you to care for children and families in Guatemala while also considering your own financial goals, family needs, and future plans. Some gifts provide tax advantages. Others allow you to continue using your assets during your lifetime. Some can even provide income back to you or your loved ones.
For many supporters, planned giving is simply a way to ensure that the values they care about today continue shaping the future for years to come.

If you're 70½ and up, qualified charitable distributions from your IRA can reduce your taxable income while supporting Nueva Vida.
Benefits of QCD:
- Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
- Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $108,000 from your IRA to Nueva Vida
- Satisfy your required minimum distrbution (RMD) for the year
How a QCD works:
1. Contact your IRA custodian to request a gift from your IRA directly to MCC. If needed, please provide Nueva Vida's EIN which is XXXXXXXX
2. Please ask your IRA custodian to include your name and address on the IRA distribution so your gift can be processed accurately.
3.Your IRA funds will be directly transferred to Nueva Vida to support the ministry of Nueva Vida.
If you have a donor-advised fund, you can make a grant from your DAF directly to Nueva Vida. A donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Nueva Vida. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact or use your funds as a tool for future gifts. Make the request to the entity managing your donor advised fund. DAFs often offer immediate tax benefits.
One of the simplest and most common forms of planned giving is including Nueva Vida in your will, trust, or beneficiary designations. This may include:
• Retirement accounts (IRA or 401k)
• Life insurance policies
• Brokerage or investment accounts
• Real estate or property
• Personal assets or financial accounts
These types of gifts allow you to continue using your assets during your lifetime while creating a lasting legacy for children and families at Nueva Vida.
Donating appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, securities, or cryptocurrency may provide tax advantages while helping support the work of Nueva Vida.
