NUEVA VIDA
This ministry is now known as Nueva Vida which means, “New Life” in Spanish and is the result of a God-directed union between two ministries.
This union will allow us to expand our services, and provide more comprehensive and holistic care for our students as well as the community we serve. With a full staff of teachers, therapists, and administrative support Nueva Vida will focus on three key areas:
A PERFECT UNION
The union of New Life School (a ministry of education for children with disabilities) and GOT Ministries (a ministry of therapy for children with disabilities) to Nueva Vida will take the best of both ministries and allow us to know and serve our families in a more complete way.
Please click on the logos to the right or the text above to see more information about each separate ministry! We are proud of our past and are excited to see the future! We will:
Our Union Story
God put on the hearts of two individuals at two different times to help children with special needs in Santa María de Jesús – one through education and the other through therapy.
Although in the same facility for nearly 10 years, New Life School and GOT Ministries were operating independently, providing primary education and therapy to children with special needs.
In January 2020, the two united and created a comprehensive and holistic approach to providing primary education and therapy while sharing the love of Christ.
With the new union of two ministries, we knew it was important to have a name that incorporates all we do – THERAPY, EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH. After much prayer and discussion, Nueva Vida was born. It is a name that honors our past and beautifully builds on our future.
The colors and shapes you see in our new logo and design are not random; the colors are pulled from the bright and vibrant Mayan designs of Santa Maria de Jesus, where we serve.
The diamond shape has a double significance. It is found in the fabric and is also symbolic of the volcano, Agua, where the community is located.
Our name and new look is an expression of our love and commitment to the community we serve and Guatemala as a whole. We pray you enjoy the journey God has us on as much as we do.
